Raytac Product Change Notice (PCN) Announcement for AT Command Series Module

Raytac would like to announce Product Change Notice (PCN-20051101) for AT Command modules which built by nRF52832 SoC Build Code EXX (Version 2) includes part no.: MDBT42Q-ATM / MDBT42Q-PATM / MDBT42V-AT / MDBT42V-PAT series.

The major description of this PCN is refer to the update of marking on the shielding case. Apart from the appearance change herein,  there is no further function, quality or safety regulation is affected.

CE RED & Safety Directives Update

CE has announced new Safety and Radio Equipment Directive (aka RED) and plans to put in practice since end of 2020 and 2021.

                 

* Safety Directive: 

IEC-60950-1 will be replaced by EN 62368-1, effected by 2020/12/20

* RED: 

EN 300 328 V2.1.1 will be replaced by Directive EN 300 328 V2.2.2 , effected by 2021/8/6.

To fulfill the CE compliance, Raytac has decided to proceed the updating work for all module series according to the latest directives. The work is scheduled to be completed in middle of 2020.

Customers who are currently proceeding CE testing is encouraged to adapt the latest directives to save extra task for latter regulation updating.

nRF52833 Module MDBT50Q By Raytac Has Extended To 105°C Ambient Temperature

Raytac announced both MDBT50Q-512K & MDBT50Q-P1M modules has extended the ambient temperature up to 105°C, following Nordic's nRF52833's specification.

Unlike a single component like SoC, modules acted as an integrated equipment which includes some other related components. To secure the module works under the latest environment request while Nordic nRF52833 released, Raytac ensured all related components meet the new temperature requirement with RF efficiency secured.

Today, we are pleased to announce nRF52833 modules:

MDBT50Q-512K: Chip Antenna
MDBT50Q-P512K: PCB Antenna

Both have successfully extended ambient temperature to 105°C which are the most ideal devices for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.
